Agent skills

wfnexus has two kinds of skill, and they are the same kind of file (SKILL.md):

  1. Skills a step uses. A step’s skills: [validate-bug, repo-navigator] scopes what that step’s agent knows. internal/skills is the registry that resolves them, and wfx registry skills lists what the server can see.
  2. Skills your own agent uses to drive wfnexus. Claude Code or Codex reads these skills and calls wfx itself: to author a workflow, to find workflows worth building, or to clear the approval queue.
Terminal window
wfx install --skills # copy every skill into ~/.claude and ~/.agents
wfx install --list # what this platform ships
Skill Ask your agent What it does with wfx
workflow-author “automate this as a workflow” Interviews you, drafts the YAML, proves it with wfx dryrun, installs it with wfx apply, and can wfx publish it.
workflow-recipes “I want to know when X starts failing” Matches the job to a proven recipe (prod watch, alert triage, dead-code removal, docs drift…), asks only that recipe’s questions, then validates and dry-runs.
workflow-scout “what workflows should we build here?” Turns a repo’s recurring manual work into ranked candidates, each checked against a 7-point bar.
approval-desk “what is waiting on me?” Lists paused runs and resolves them with wfx approve, wfx reject and wfx answer.

Most of the rest of skills/ are step skills, which the templates give to their agents:

  • code-remover uses usage-prover, safe-remover, change-reviewer and cleanup-pr-writer.
  • test-gap-finder uses test-author and change-reviewer.
  • docs-drift-fixer uses doc-syncer.
  • spec-drift-finder uses doc-syncer, fix-author and change-reviewer.
  • The watch and triage templates use prod-signal-triage (and approval-desk).
  • workflows/bug-fix.yaml uses validate-bug, reproduce-bug, fix-author, pr-reviewer and pr-publisher.

repo-navigator and pr-publisher appear throughout. The skill catalogue lists every one, generated from its SKILL.md.

The demo is a real one, end to end: wfnexus-setup installs the stack, workflow-author builds the workflow and fixes what its first run exposes, wfnexus-deploy publishes and schedules it, and approval-desk puts every change in front of a person, who rejects a draft, approves a fix, and ships v1.0.2.
